The environmental impact assessment, upon the order of TERMINÁL Central European Storage Ltd., aimed at elaborating a proposition in the interest of preserving Lake Sasfészek. All this turned necessary because a serious situation, regarding the future of the Lake, derived from improper use, and the utilization of the neighbouring areas as an industrial zone. Based on environmental studies and negotiations with the bodies and experts involved, an efficient proposal was produced by using multiattribute decision making technology, so that the deterioration process be reversible within some limits, despite the fact that the ecological degradation threatening the lake has been lasting for several decades.
